Humane Education in schools
Elementary schools are invited to contact us to schedule a presentation of our “Kindness to Animals” Humane Education Program. This 30-minute program is suitable for children ages 6-9 and stresses the basics of pet care and safety around companion animals, plus an overview of the role of the Animal Shelter in our community. In the 2010-2011 school year, over 700 children from schools in Norwell, Hanover, Scituate, Cohasset, Marshfield and Hingham were part of the Shelter’s Humane Education Program.
