Welcome to the Scituate Animal Shelter!

We are a not-for-profit 501(c)3, primarily volunteer, no-kill animal shelter that is funded solely by private donations. We serve the communities of Massachusetts‚ South Shore and are dedicated to the protection of animals and the advancement of their welfare.

Today, hundreds of homeless, abandoned animals visit the Scituate Animal Shelter each year. Thankfully, some are claimed within days, but those that remain abandoned receive food, love and veterinary care. Since our Shelter‚ humble beginning over fifteen years ago, over 4,500 dogs, cats, rabbits, hedgehogs, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs, gerbils and hamsters have passed through our doors and have been adopted into loving homes.
